Is there a difference between salon shampoos and shampoos like Redken pantean store like? I had this long debate now is whether the salon shampoos were really better for your hair than department stores such as shampoo pantean ..
My hair is longer than the length and Sholder I regularly get highlights put in and want to use the best shampoo out there, but at a discount.
Any help I need advice?! Thank you:)
Firstly, Pantene is horrible. It is not "damage" your hair, but it leaves a waxy buildup. Therefore, it makes it look shiny. color without ammonia (as Shades EQ) washing right in a few days because if the hair is coated.
Drugstore brands do not damage the hair, but they are cheaper for a reason. All shampoos basically has the same main ingredients. The difference is the concentration of good ingredients. Therefore, professional products are more expensive. They are more concentrated so they do a better job, you will not need to use much, and because of that, they last longer. If you really want to make your hair healthy, professional products work better because they are made better. More active ingredients, less expenses.
Hmm .. better and cheaper does not belong in the same sentence!
Yes, there is a difference - they are manufactured by different companies. :-)
Redken used to be very good, but as L'Oreal bought them, they have changed drastically. It is always good, better than most, but not as good as before. Any commercial product (on the pharmacy shelf) must be of lower quality because there is an overload on the product.
Salon products are generally better because they have not much advertising or distribution costs. They are made for the professional, who has higher standards than do most people. People want pretty colors and good smell!
You'd better find or Focus21 Nexxus products. They may be more expensive, but you usually use much less, so it goes a long way. They actually work, when most "beautiful" products are only for marketing, and do nothing good for your hair.
This is an excellent question. From my experience, operators will tell you that Hair Drug Store Products hair care are crap, they dry out your hair etc etc, but when I say: "I've been using Pantene for years. .. do not feel my hair / Search damaged? and they always say no reluctance. I suspect that their profit margin on salon products is enormous.
Meanwhile, with that said, I had a lady to admit that if I insisted on buying my hair care products from the pharmacy, the Dove brand is better than Pantene is what I had already used. I thought she had no reason to talk about one brand over another, and she must have seen a little research.
So I switched to Dove. I use the formula for colored hair. I must say, my hair does feel wonderful. I hated to leave Pantene, because I always felt it was right for me, but Dove has been better.
I'm dreading the end of the haircut when they begin to ask what kind of shampoo you use, hoping to lead you in "our team is better" conversation, and this is how I end: "What type of shampoo do you use? " "I agree on the product right now .... Thank you. "And that's all.
Uh yes I have 2 different sets of shampoo and Redken ocndtioners on my dresser as we speak! lol and yes theres a Difference basically I just get rid of all my Pantene, (and I finished it .. end Redken is higher and thus better, but WAYYYY Performs Pantene is great but it is too eithr pay $ 13 Shampoo and condtion for two or $ 4?
I use Redken, but Im not in Herbal Essencse;) Im looking for a treatment thoough protein and I know that one or two of them will be Redken;) Redken.
