If you have a Halloween costume to go to this weekend, what will you be? Just curious, I'll be a Rastafarian
I intend to do ....
Last year, I saw on the Martha Stewart show how they made a witches costume from black garbage bags and duct tape.
you need the drawstring bags. one they cut a slit in the box under the strings so it was a little longer and they cut, zig zag the bottom of the bag away, this part is used for another part of the costume .
it is for the top half of the costume. It is put on the tube like a top with the cords straps. pull and tie to fit.
Do not worry about the strings coz they get covered later.
then another bag is cut to the skirt, zig zag as the first and is tied around the waist. Duct tape as necessary to maintain the top and bottom together.
They also cut a third bag in half to be the sleeves ... They used duct tape to hold things in place. Just the band SLEV up.
the cut pieces are used to make the cape and they shot at the points zigzag to stretch. (Also on the skirt)
It was pretty cool and waterproof, but you may need scissors to cut the suit to have done.
I hope I have explained enough for you to understand how.
a half-dozen bags and tape are cheap especially if you already have around
