Parlux Hairdryer

Parlux HairdryerIs one of the sparks, hairdryer flashing normal switch?

My a Babyliss and Parlux hair dryers and both flashes blue when I turn the switches. Is it normal? I was told by a friend that is allowed because the switches spark on the contacts on the things that attract a lot of current. Is this true? What my hair safely?

You can often see small arcs or flashes of blue light, each time you turn on the equipment. Switches that do not allow arcs to occur are quite expensive, and it does not provide greater security to the user (now if you use it in a tank of gas that would be another history).
I'd say you're in danger if she can beep to burst - I do not want to listen to him in a room completely quite, but if you do your thing in the bathroom and you hear in make a popping sound, or worse than the noise elongated zizzz you heard in movies, it is time to replace.

The reason I would go with her, is that in a normal piece of equipment, the arc should be over fairly quickly and should not be a lot of power used on the switch. If there is a defect in the material (like a resume, or lowered impedance), then the arc begins to dissipate a significant amount of power and takes more time. Then, without test equipment and make a science project total, just use your ears.

as it only sparks when you turn the switch, I would say that's normal ... It is already possible contact when the 2 pieces of metal at connect, causing a small spark (usually only visible in the dark) - if you see sparks of light in an environment, I start to worry, but ....

NO

Get checked the plug before using again

ditches immediately. it just means that there is a gap somewhere there must be a contact and the sparks are charged particles from the air. If for any reason you ahuld be in contact with these items at a time when it is lit, as in the case of a general power outtage you can move may attract a fee and be "charged" (electrocuted) you

Sparking in the "Barrel" is usual. but idk if I ditch the switch this thing because you can risk electrocution when using it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo ...
Do not use it, Chuck it out!

If lightning is visible, no. This means that the contacts are dust, etc. on them, and the problem will worsen.

No, this is not the case. It is an indication of a short (or a bad ground).

Now, if you see the blue flash inside where the heater is less, it might be okay.
