Having a hair transplant It is inevitable that many of us, men and women, will witness at least one loss of hair as we age. But instead of accepting the sad reality of life with grace, many of us fight. Fortunately, today we no longer seem to be a losing battle: the success of hair transplants, which means that people are not completely bald can successfully regain much of their former beauty hairy.
Cuts everything is easier for men than women, but is not a culture Kojak style much better than Trump comb over? Some women think bald is sexy ...
Hair transplants work by taking the "donor" hair from the back or sides of your scalp and then place them in areas of the head where there is no hair, or is very thin . The idea is to have new hair begins to grow in places where it has ceased to grow, making the scalp thinning a thing of the past.
It is estimated that up to 90 percent of all men experience some hair loss, known as male pattern baldness, and up to one quarter of all women in the United States have linked hair lightening to hereditary reasons. We also experience loss of hair due to illness, stress (such as hair loss related to stress), pregnancy, medical conditions, infection and age.
If your hair loss concerns you so much you spend each Waking Hour dreaming about how to find your old locks of luxury, perhaps it is time to finally do something.
Types of transplant
Three main types of hair transplants are available, including:
Follicular hair transplant. This is the most common type of "hair transplant" that has been around for years. Involves removing the donor strip of hair, usually behind the head, which are then grafted to the place where hair loss has occurred, generally the front of the scalp. After a tape is removed, the region is closely sutured, become invisible because of surrounding hair.
The pieces are then cut under a microscope and implanted into the new area. Each unit has a maximum of three hairs, which is how hair normally grows, and the results are visible from the first session. The implants are placed naturally if a "line" of hair does not appear. In megasession "a period of five to seven hours, as many as 4,500 units are located both to achieve a full head of hair almost instantly.
The whole procedure takes several sessions under local anesthesia with analgesics and antibiotics prescribed to reduce the risk of infection. Normal activities can usually be resumed within a week.
Follicular Extraction. A relatively new technique in which a large incision to remove a donor strip of hair is not done. Instead, up to 3,000 units are meticulously extracted in a few days, one by one, using new tools, then installed on the donor site.
It's good for people who might want to have their heads shaved in future without any visible scars, which may want to sport a Mohawk or for people with very curly hair. The growth rate is about 10 percent less than those who choose Follicular unit hair transplant, and a session will take longer - as long as nine hours a day for two consecutive days. The cost is also more.
Laser hair transplantation. Very controversial and relatively new, described as "stat-of-the-art" and "advanced". It involves using lasers to make the slots to implement new hair. Proponents say it can reduce bleeding, opponents say it clogs the blood needed to nourish the grafts.
Please note that the transplantation of facial hair are also available for men who can not grow a beard, mustache and sideburns, and for men and women who want lashes more lush. Each area of the face is unique, so that each hair restoration program is. Do not go overboard and turn into a werewolf!
Some people have also begun to experiment with PRP L '.
