Minoxidil For Women

I started using a month ago .. but my scalp started itching Infront, but I use it everywhere, so I do not know if it's because of rogaine ....
The other thing is that the box says it needs 4 months to start working, so can I stop or so until when??? im hating it cause its making my hair greasy, and i cannot imagine doing this for the rest of my life ... thinnning my hair, but its causes too much stress and shock experieced ... What should I do?
