front lace wig help!? I'm about to buy a lace front wig. What do I need the application in more perfect wig wig and glue .. because I am but myself. THANKS A LOT! :]
Ok .. I have a lace front wig (her beautiful but) ... tried to put it on myself with glue and its very difficult. Make sure you have the following
1 .. nail glue - I made something called a citrus solvent
2. protector of the scalp - can use 99.1% of alcohol use, medical grade, but I tried a score of 90% and it does not work very well to get the glue on the hair of my wig.
When I tried to put the wig on myself I encountered a problem with my wig to get the right front. I would put the glue on and I guess I put too much and it would slip ... and does not look right. I was able to take back my wig better (but do not know how I did) but once again ... front gave me some problems. I will say that even with the problems I experienced, I will try to put it back in myself. Since I have trouble finding someone who knows what it is and how. I found a store in my area, but they wanted to pay about $ 150 to put on when I had everything and they just "put it on." It would be helpful if you had someone to help keep the wig into the glue. In fact, I'm waiting for my dissolving solvent because I had some glue into the wig and I do not want to spoil the lace or remove all hair in the wig. At least if you had someone to help you, they can guide you and keep the glue on the wig, because it is difficult to escape. Hopefully I'll get better as time goes on, but it is an excellent investment. My wig ordered my supplies online and I'm still waiting on them, but you may be able to get a supply store wig. Make sure you have plenty of hair pins and clips to keep hair while you put it. Good luck!
