Horse Hair BroomBasic Horse Grooming - What every beginner should know

One of the best ways to create links with your horse is to spend time grooming him. Although sometimes it is allowed to simply give your horse before you ride fast dusting from time to time you should spend some time with him as you all know the groom.

So what is involved in grooming anyway? Most people think of as a mere executor of a brush on the horse, picking his feet and leaving it at that. But there is much more to good grooming.

The first step in a thorough grooming is curry your horse. Grab a comb, a plastic one, or rubber, and use a circular motion, working with the horse's coat. Wrought acts as a massage, relaxation of tight muscles and increase circulation to the skin. Each grooming session should start with at least one curry short.

You can use the comb on any part of the horse's body that is muscular. This means that the cervix, body and long legs to the knees / legs. Do not be afraid to ask for a bit of pressure you are married - the horse will appreciate that it gives the muscles an invigorating massage.

After the comb using a stiff brush. The brush should have given some hairs. Some bristle brushes are too harsh and are not likely to be comfortable for the horse. The brush drive must be used in short strokes in the direction of the hair. If you give the brush a flick at the end of each move, it will pull in dust and dirt from the hair. The hard brush will lay flat and smooth layer of the horse.

Because of the firmness of the bristles of a stiff brush should not be used on the face of the horse. It can be used anywhere on the body of the horse whose legs. A stiff brush is ideal for down the mud on the lower legs.

Finally, it is time to take a soft brush and dust your horse down. The soft brush has long, soft bristles that provides easy and are ideal for dusting the dust and dirt remaining. Use long strokes with the hair growth.

The soft brush can be used anywhere on your horse, including the face. It is a great way to add a finishing touch to the jacket and bring out the brilliance. Most horses like the soft brush and have no problem, even in sensitive areas.

After caring for the horse's body, it is time to take care of her feet. There are two basic types of hoofpicks. hoofpicks base is metal with a peak at one end and a loop to hold the other end. They are simple and effective tools that cost very little and do a good job. The other type is plastic with a metal spike that sticks to the end and a small stiff brush in front of the selection. A bit more expensive, such hoofpick has the added advantage of being able to brush off the debris that recovery can not meet and make a hoof cleaner overall. Another advantage is the molded handle that can be more comfortable to hold. Both peaks are equally good and it is a matter of personal preference which type you decide to use.

When gathering on foot, be sure to remove all debris from grooves beside the frog. Any stones that are lodged in it could bruise the horse's hoof and lameness issue. If the horse wears shoes do not try to block the hoofpick between footwear and feet of the horse as it may loosen the shape and increase the chances that your horse loses a shoe.

The final touch of a good job of grooming is to comb the mane and tail. While some prefer not to use a comb or brush on the tail if it is supported on a regular basis you will actually lose less hair in the long term. If you do not plan to braid hair, you can use a product like Salon Sheen detangling hair and make combing easier.

It's really a matter of personal preference when it comes to combs and brushes.
