Herbal Essences Hair Color

I bought a box of Herbal Essences color for brown and my hair is dark brown. I was wondering if this brand is good to use because it would be my first time or if another brand is better? Thank you!

Do not use "Color Box" is unpredictable, and contains metal that can leave permanent lines in your hair if you change the color of the products. Go to Sally Beauty Supply, they have more professional products and they can help you in your purchase and the prices are better.

I use Natural Instincts (Clairol as a mark, I think). I like it because it washes in 6-8 weeks, so if you do not like the color, you're not stuck with it until your hair grows completely. I also hate when the roots are of a different color than the rest of your hair ... so obvious that it is a dye-job.

I actually like my natural color, so I just started coloring my hair to cover gray. My only complaint about Natural Instincts is that it does not cover the hair hard course, very gray. It works well on fine hair at my temples and the hairline around my face where I am the gray anyway, but there are some bits scattered on top of my head back to gray in a few washes . Fortunately, there are not many, and what few there are so random that you do not really notice them.

I tried a few different colors to find one that was close to my natural color. It's a little darker than I like, but again in a few washes it illuminates. And no one ever goes "Oh, you colored your hair," I'm assuming that means it is so close to my natural color that nobody knows I'm coloring my hair.
