Benefits of hemp seed Hemp seed is rich in protein containing all nine essential amino acids. It also has large amounts of fatty acids, fiber, vitamin E and trace elements. It has a balanced ratio of omega 3-6 fats to about a ratio of three to one. It will not help you correct the balance if omega is off, but it gives you the right balance to start.
Furthermore, the protein content of hemp seed is supposed to be very digestible. Hulled hemp - Whole hemp seeds can be toasted for snack or meal. Shelled hemp seeds are a healthy part of bakery products, protein bars, cereals, sauces and dips. Very versatile, hemp seed hulls can even be turned into milk, cheese, ice cream, margarine and other foods. Most birdseed contains hemp seed and makes an excellent ingredient in many pet and animal feed.
Hemp Oil - Hemp also produces an oil seed that contains between 25 to 35% oil by weight, which is rich in essential fatty acids. Cold pressed hemp oil crude is light green with a nutty taste grassy. It is a nutritional supplement for EFA and provides superb flavor desired in dressings, dips and spreads. It can be combined with or used instead of olive, walnut and safflower oils for cooking and eating.
Refined Hemp Oil - clear with little flavor or nutrients and has been widely used in body care products, lubricants, paints and industrial uses. antimicrobial properties make it ideal for soaps, shampoos and detergents.
Hemp seed meal - Even after the seed was crushed hemp oil, the remaining product still contains 25% protein and is an excellent source of dietary fiber - there is still a very suitable food ingredient and nutritional supplements people and animals, it can also be used to brew beer.
