Hair Colour Shades

I have heard of pouring cream loreal gloss, and people say its fine, but im scared because a girl on the news has had a terrible reaction to it. Is it good, is there any other temporary dyes that are beautiful? im mixed with long curly hair. I just want a lighter color hair.
