Chicago Hair

My hair is naturally curly and I was looking for a hairdresser since I moved to Chicago. I'm not really into the experience of living, so I do not need somewhere to fashion or style - which means expensive. I am African-American and I want someone who has experience dealing with my hair in its natural state. Suggestions? I might also mention that I live in Evanston and do not want to drive all the way to the south side of town if I can help. Thank you all!
