Ceramic Hair TongsThe Hair Straightener celebrates more than 125 years.

The hair straightener, hair clips can call them anyway they became Today's must have hair accessories for women and many men now. The hair straightener humble some say may correct date of 1872 to a Parisian gentleman called Marcel Grateau. His first invention which is basically heat rods which have been used with chemical lotions which were then added to the hair to straighten it. Like many inventions day earlier, he had his back and draw many many people would find their scalp and hair became damaged and in many cases burned. The first patent registered hair iron were in 1906 by a guy called Simon Monroe, his invention was basic and in a different format. The tool of hair, he created consisting of metal teeth that the user to comb through the hair and these worked but would not be considered the same product as the hair straighteners that are used today.

The first actual design straightner hair that could be considered should be in 1909 by Issac Shero, he patented and invented the first heated hair care tools. The first designs were basically hot metal plates that were used to glide through hair products were a big improvement on the inventions day earlier and provided the user with a much smaller risk of damaging hair. He then pushed the drawings at a later date and has introduced other more advanced, which included the straightener ceramic and electrical rectifiers. Not only that, but it was also the first person to provide the user the ability to adjust the heat settings and straightener size.

Most of his design techniques are still used so far in the barbershop or modern home and the dependence of his invention has become second nature to most people. The most common rectifier today would be the ceramics with the heating elements. The technology remains the same, however, become more sophisticated. The ceramic became those of the type chosen for many for a number of reasons including the fact that they are less damaging to the hair and use ceramic heating elements heat up quickly.

It has been proved by the first models using rectifiers can be damaging to the hair if not used correctly or too much, it still applies today and the chances of getting split ends, or brittle and broken hair is increased. Unlike the early days there has been progress in many of the tools hair to prevent this happening. Products such sprays and creams thermal protection will reduce the amount of damage caused by excessive use. There has been some progress since the invention of other early by Issac Shero and the addition of having rectifiers that allow the user to straighten wet hair is a good example. Overall if ceramics are the most common and remain the child's brain inventors day in advance and will be used for many years to come.
