CatagenHow does hair grow?

Many people agonize over the rate of growth of their hair. Let's face it, nothing grows slower than a bad haircut! What most people do not realize, however, is that your hair is always through 3 stages of growth. Once the hair falls out, it does not mean it's all for this place particularly where this hair came from. Your hair is constantly going through 3 stages - growing, shedding and new growth. When you make a hair, this is not the first step toward baldness, but it's just a continuation of a continuous cycle.

Anagen Stage
We'll start with the anagen stage where hair is more just, more long. For some people, hair will grow for about 2 years, but for others it could be as long as 6 years. The length of time that the hair grows depends on your age and your genetic makeup. The anagen or growth stage is much more for a teenager to someone who is middle aged. Your genetics have much to say about how long your hair continues to grow.

Catagen Stage
The second stage of hair growth is called the catagen phase. Then the papilla (the plant hair cell growth) stops. This process usually takes between 2 or 3 weeks. When this occurs, the follicle (the skin around the hairline) begins to decrease.

Telogen Stage
The last stage of this cycle is the telogen phase. During this stage of the papilla (plant hair growth) takes a rest and follicle hangs on the hair for about 2 or 3 months. The hair may fall out during this phase and combing / brushing or during the shampoo. It will not necessarily go out because it has been dislodged, it could also be pushed by the new hair begins to grow in the papilla.

At any time, about 85% of your hair is the longest stage, the anagen phase of growth. The other 15% is either in the catagen (closing) or telogen (fall) scene. Because of this, you lose between 50 and 200 hairs per day. It is perfectly normal to lose and lose hair.

If everyone goes through the same 3 stages of hair growth, why some people seem to be able to grow hair faster than others? Because the papilla (the plant growth of hair) hair cells produced much faster for some than for others. In addition, the anagen or growth phase, lasts much longer for some than for others. So if a person has an average production of hair cells and the growth phase lasts 2 years, he / she will have much shorter hair than the person who produces hair papilla cells rapidly-growing and hard stage 6. But do not worry. When you lose your hair longer, they just finished growing and will soon be replaced by other hairs that are longer and have been growing for some time.

Remember - 85% of your hair is in growth phase and only 15% in the catagen (closing) or telogen (fall) stage. It will not fall all at once!
