Best Hair Highlights

I have dirty blond or light brown. It is the color of Jamie Lynn Spears has hair. I want highlights and considering a Blonde Highlights copper. I also have a very pale face and do not want to go too dark because I could paler. (Who is a no no for me) So Blonde is a copper and go well? Or maby just one of the two? I'll also add that I have long hair right. HELP!
