Air Conditioner Cost

I have a room of 900 sq. feet area. I want to cool at least part of the area incl. lounge, bedroom and dining room adjacent. Wondering what the capacity of the air required, the initial cost of buying one and the cost of maintenance, including electricity bills about a month, etc.
